Wear Else

March 1st 2011

I had a great time as the hair and makeup artist for the Wear Else Spring/Summer Collection.
A beautiful natural look with pink or coral lips and luscious curls in the hair.
I was in awe with the gorgeous clothing, shoes and handbags that Wear Else had and found it very difficult not to start shopping for myself, but tomorrow is another day ;)

"Wear Else has been a Vancouver fashion institution since 1977; however, in October 2007, it was acquired by Zahra Mamdani and her family.  In the past two years, she has revamped the brand by infusing it with contemporary, on trend style and the hottest designers while maintaining the brilliant customer service Wear Else has prided itself on." www.wearelse.com

White Edwardian Theme

February 21st 2011

Photographer Cherry Archer and I were very inspired by some beautiful work by Steven Meisel, so we came up with the idea that we would love to do a white Edwardian tea party.
We had model Dayna Nelson to work with so we had 4 different wardrobe ideas and 4 similar scenes.
I really enjoyed myself as I was able to challenge myself on my hair skills and I was actually involved in the set up of the scenes.
I cant wait to see the finished images!

Abby deForest Headshots

February 20th 2011

I had worked with Abby on another shoot previously and when she had contacted me to be her hair and makeup artist for her actress headshot I was delighted.
The photoshoot was shot by Gabby at Gabphoto Studios in North Vancouver. He was really welcoming and had plenty of ideas for Abby's headshot.
We all had plenty of time in the day and lots of creative ideas so after Abby's headshot we had a pin-up and a boudoir shoot. Gabby took some beautiful images of Abby and I was very pleased with her hair and makeup.  I am very excited to add them to my portfolio.

Lancome

I am very excited to share with you all that I will now be working for Lancome as a demo-artist in several Vancouver locations, including the Bay and Holt Renfrew.

Sophisticated and Sexy

February 8th 2011

Photographer Cherry Archer, Model Abby deForest and myself, created a sophisticated and sexy shoot.
As well as Cherry's creativity and Abby's beauty and personality, we were also lucky enough to have some beautiful natural lighting that really made the shots come alive.

Cherry Archer Photography

January 9th 2011

I was extremely excited when I received the confirmation that I would be working with Cherry Archer. She has an eye for capturing wonderful images and being very creative due to her previous experience as a designer.
We had a fantastic shoot with our wonderful model Nancy Currie.

BC Home Magazine

January 5th 2011

Today I was delighted to do hair and makeup for a celebrity chef for BC Home Magazine.
It was an exciting day and a fantastic shoot to break into the New Year with.  I found it a nice change being out of the ordinary studio photoshoot and into a kitchen environment instead.
The team was great to work for and I look forward working with them again in the near future.
